Hope Christian Fellowship has a rich history rooted in ministry, growth, and a heart for community. What began as a small outreach on Rochester’s east side has grown into a multi campus church committed to building God’s Kingdom. Take a look at our timeline to see how God has faithfully led us from our founding in 1984 to the launch of HCF Eastside in 2022.
1984 Founded: Hope Christian Fellowship (HCF) is established as a ministry of Rochester Christian Church, led by Rev. Alfonso Galvano, serving Rochester’s east side.
2010 Relocation & Growth: HCF moves to 3495 Lake Ave. (Northside Rochester) and begins experiencing steady growth.
2013 Leadership Expansion: Bro. Luis Diaz joins the staff as Office Administrator.
2015 Ordination: Luis Diaz is ordained as Associate Pastor of HCF.
2021 A New Opportunity: Bro. Tony Tumminelli reaches out regarding Christian Apostolic Church a historic church founded in 1915 facing closure after its lead pastor passed away.
Early 2022 Churches Unite: After prayer and relationship building, HCF and Christian Apostolic Church agree to unite under the leadership of Pastor Luis Diaz.
May 8, 2022 HCF Eastside Launches: Hope Christian Fellowship Eastside holds its first service at 1259 N. Goodman Street, continuing a legacy of revival and community on Rochester’s east side.
