Blessed day, Child of God!

Today, the Lord has graciously given us another day to live for His Name’s sake. For that, I am thankful.

Walking with God is a beautiful gift, but it also requires a Spirit filled commitment. It calls for perseverance, patience, and endurance.

Recently, I received a text from a brother from our Northside church. He simply sent me the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18–20. I have read that passage countless times, but this time the Word of Life gripped my heart in a fresh way. Jesus said, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

What a promise!

When we first come to the Lord, we often experience the joy and power of His salvation in a powerful way. He lifts us up. He refreshes us. He fills our hearts with hope. But after that first joy comes the daily walk of faith.

And we must remember, this is a forever walk!

While we are on this side of eternity, hardships will come. Difficulties will come. Trials will come. And in those moments, true faith begins to rise to the surface.

Sadly, many have shipwrecked their faith and walked away from the Lord because the weight of a trial became too heavy for them. They felt they could not endure.

But Child of God, I want to encourage you today That does not have to be your story.

Where there is trial, God offers wisdom. James 1:5 reminds us that if we lack wisdom, we can ask God, and He gives generously.

Where hardship feels overwhelming, God provides grace to endure. First Corinthians 10:13 reminds us that He is faithful and will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able, but will provide the way of escape through the avenue of endurance.

When we are waiting for an answer and it feels delayed, we are called to patiently trust in the Lord. Hebrews 10:36 says, “For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.”And Micah 7:7 declares, “But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.”

The Greek word hypomonē is often translated as patience, endurance, perseverance, or steadfastness. It carries the idea of remaining faithful under pressure. It is not passive waiting. It is not simply sitting still while life happens. It is an active waiting, faith filled patience, and a Spirit empowered tenacity that clings to God and refuses to let go (Bible Hub Lexicon).

I love the phrase. Spirit empowered tenacity!

That means there is no giving up with God. It means you are determined to walk with Him through the pain and through the joy. It means your heart is set on serving Him no matter what comes. And most importantly, it means this endurance is not produced by your strength alone. It is empowered by the Holy Spirit.

So let me encourage you today.

  • Have you felt like quitting? Draw near to the Spirit of God.
  • Are you overwhelmed? Press into prayer and speak honestly before the Lord.
  • Do you feel like your faith is growing weak? Fill your heart again with the words of life found in Scripture.

And as you do these, you will be reminded that God has gone nowhere. He is still with you. He is still keeping you. He is still sustaining you till the end of the age.

Child of God, keep walking. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep enduring.

Praying for you, Church.

Love you,

Pastor Lu

Hebrews 12:1–3
“Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
